COMPOSITING REEL

This reel showcases a selection of shots from productions I contributed to as a Compositor at Framestore London and MPC Paris.

MEET THE ARTIST

I'm Sacha-Gabriel, but everyone calls me Sasha.

My passions are learning, challenging and exploring. Always looking for better ways to get stuff done. Keeping things simple, making them brilliant, growing if they break.

As a deaf person, my entire life has been a series of challenges. My difference has strengthened my sense of observation and made it a real asset for my career. My main professional goal is to expand the range of my skills in the world of Visual Effects, mainly as a Compositing Artist.

Currently working at Framestore London. I studied VFX and Animation at ARTFX - School of Digital Arts, in Montpellier, France. I have a scientific mind, but I also started taking judo and speech therapy classes when I was a kid.

I did my first VFX on live-action when I was 9 (after watching Harry Potter films). Since then, I haven’t stopped learning and improving my skills. Currently, I use Nuke and Maya but I have used After Effects, Digital Fusion and Final Cut in the past. Node-based softwares for the win!

MY VALUES

Visual Clarity and Precision

My visual perception is highly refined. I pay close attention to visual detail, spatial consistency, and shot readability.

Clear and Structured Communication

As a deaf professional, I rely on written and visual forms of communication that are clear, precise, and well-organised.

Focus, Calm, and Autonomy

Working in silence has helped me develop strong focus, inner calm, and a high level of independence.

Inclusion and Representation

I believe in making the creative industries more inclusive and open to diverse ways of seeing and working.

Adaptability and Resilience

Being young, deaf, and freelance has taught me to adapt quickly, solve problems efficiently, and thrive in diverse production setups.

Artistic Sensitivity and Unique Perspective

My life experience gives me a personal, expressive, and rigorous approach to image.

AWARDS

I don’t chase awards — I focus on strong images and meaningful work. Still, I’m honoured when the projects I collaborate on receive recognition for their visual impact and storytelling.
